State of the Georgia Girl Report

Most parents of girls in Georgia report that their daughter is in good physical health. According to the National Survey of Children’s Health, 90% of girls in Georgia are described by their caregiver as having “excellent or very good” overall health . While there are marginal differences between boys in the state and the national average for girls, the more noticeable comparison may be the optimism of parents compared to the data presented throughout the remainder of this section. Overall Health 9 out of 10 girls in Georgia are reported as being in excellent or very good health according to their parent, slightly lower than the national average.
