FALL PRODUCT KICKOFF  Girls will make crafts, see potential rewards, taste test new products, get a head start on registering for the season, AND meet the mascot - the Hawaiian monk seal. Fall Product Season is a great way for new troops to establish the 5 skills to prepare them for a successful cookie season and start the year with needed resources. Veteran sellers will learn tips and tricks to utilize during both Product Program seasons. When : September 2, 2022 / 5 pm - 7 pm Where : Holder Program Center at GSHG, Athens Cost : $6 per girl Registration Deadline : August 26, 2022 CHALLENGE: PROTECT YOUR PLANET  Plant a tree, complete the Tree Promise Pledge, take on the Girl Scout Climate Challenge. Join us in helping Hardman Farm State Historic Site by planting a tree and learn more about how to take on climate change in the Climate Challenge during Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. When : September 10, 2022 / 10 am - 2 pm Where : Hardman Farm State Historic Site, Sautee GIRL SCOUTS LOVE STATE PARKS WEEKEND  Your local state park is ready to be explored! Join Girl Scouts across the country for Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. With so many parks across the state of Georgia, an adventure is just waiting for you! Take a hike, discover the history, try something new, AND earn a fun patch! FIRST LOOK WITH NASA  Celebrate the first images coming from the James Webb Space Telescope with Girl Scouts! Girls will earn a fun patch. More information is coming soon - check back on our website! BROWNIE AND JUNIOR OVERNIGHT ECO BADGE  Come learn and practice camping basics! Knot tying, Leave No Trace principles, fire building and safety, and some Girl Scout FUN will be included. Brownies will earn Adventurer and Eco-Friend; Juniors will earn Camper and Eco-Camper. Two choices: Come for Saturday afternoon and complete requirements 1-4 with dinner included OR stay the night and complete the 5th requirement with breakfast included. When : September 17-18, 2022 / 4 pm - 10 am Where : Holder Program Center at GSHG, Athens Cost : $20 per girl, $15 per adult Registration Deadline : August 31, 2022 PROGRAM AIDE TRAINING  Girls who have completed 6th grade through girls entering 9th grade are invited to attend Program Aide Training on their way to completing the steps of the Program Aide Award. Core PA training involves learning to work with children and adapting activities for special needs and situations. You'll be putting your new skills to the test with hands-on activities to prepare you for real life situations. When : September 23-25, 2022 / 6 pm Friday - 3 pm Sunday Where : Holder Program Center at GSHG, Athens Cost : $40 per girl, $15 per adult Registration Deadline : September 9, 2022 MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY CELEBRATION: HISPANIC HERITAGE  Join your sister Girl Scouts in earning the Hispanic Heritage segment of the Multicultural fun patch! This is the first of five events in our Multicultural Community Celebration series. Participate in different activities to learn about and celebrate the diverse Hispanic and Latin communities that make up our global community. We encourage girls of all backgrounds to celebrate!
