S'MOREVIVOR  Join us at Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia's beautiful Camp Tanglewood for one or both great events. A 5k trail run followed by a four-person team challenge to tackle fun outdoor activities at stations throughout camp. (Competitive team challenges will include canoeing, archery, s'mores making, and much more!) At this one-of-a-kind family friendly event, you'll get the chance to experience just some of the fun outdoor adventures that Girl Scouts enjoy as part of our time tested program. When : September 10, 2022 / 7:30 am - 1 pm Where : Camp Tanglewood, Martinez Cost : $35 per person (5k), $150 per team (four person team challenge) Registration Deadline: September 8, 2022 HEALTHY YOU SERIES: LEARNING ABOUT OUR BODIES  Girls will hear health talks by a pediatrician with Augusta University Pediatrics, where they will discuss puberty, body changes, and periods. Girls will see panty liners, pads, and tampons and will make a small ready bag to bring home, and will have an opportunity to ask questions! We will also participate in making Blessing Bags for the women's shelter. DISCOVER SCUBA  If you are 10 years and older, you can Discover SCUBA! This session is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a SCUBA certification course, you’ll learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver. The Discover SCUBA experience is a great way to get into the water, try out the equipment and see if SCUBA is for you.

FALL PRODUCT KICKOFF  Join us to start the countdown to our Fall Product Season! During the fall, Girl Scouts sell candy, nuts, and magazines. Girls will make crafts, see potential rewards, taste test new products, get a head start on registering for the season AND meet the mascot-the Hawaiian monk seal. Fall Product Season is a great way for new troops to eastablish the 5 skills to prepare them for a successful cookie season and start the year with needed resources. Veteran sellers will learn tips and tricks they can utilize for both Product Program seasons. When : September 24, 2022 / 5 pm - 7 pm Where : Camp Tanglewood, Martinez Cost : Free Registration Deadline : August 26, 2022 OUTDOOR JOURNEY CAMP  To complete their Outdoor Journey, Juniors deepen their outdoor skills by completing three outdoor badges - Animal Habitats, Camper, Eco Camper – as well as a capstone “Take Action Project” focused on making the outdoor world a better place. Those leadership skills can then be applied to earning a Bronze Award, the highest award for Juniors!

26
