LEAP: Into the Sea Camp Low, Savannah October 17-19
Archery Level 1 Savannah May 2, 2026
This fun-filled, volunteer-led weekend includes a variety of workshops designed to enhance the Girl Scout experience for your troop or just gain knowledge and skills for yourself. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take several themed workshop sessions of their choosing over the course of this event and meet leaders and volunteers from across their region and the council. Stay the weekend for an added camping experience or just come out for a day! Come and join other adult Girl Scouts in an adults-only volunteer training event! $50 per person Registration information coming soon!
USA Archery Level 1 certification is required to instruct archery at any GSHG camps. The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor course is a nationally recognized certification that can be used as verification of skills and knowledge for any GSHG Archery activities and is recognized at most camps and archery centers. Certification is good for 3 years from the date of training. Registration information coming soon!
Archery Level 2 Savannah May 2, 2026
USA Archery Level 2 certification includes the Level 1 certification and is required to instruct other adults in the Level 1 Archery Course. Basic Outdoor Skills Savannah May 2-3, 2026
Basic Outdoor Skills training gives leaders the skills needed to take Girl Scouts on a beginning outdoor overnight experience. $30 per person Registration information coming soon!
Girl Scout Safety Ratios
Adult-to-girl safety ratios show the minimum number of volunteers needed to supervise a specific number of girls to ensure their health and safety. Your group must have at least two unrelated, approved volunteers present at all times, plus additional volunteers as neccessary for your group’s size. Any adult who supervises girls must be at least 18 years old, be a registered Girl Scout member, and successfully complete a background check before supervising.

Two unrelated volunteers (at least one who is female) for this number of girls: Plus one additional volunteer for each additional number of this many girls:

If you have a mixed-level group present, please defer to the ratios for the youngest age.
Volunteers and guardians are responsible for maintaining safety ratios at each event. Events are not drop off events unless listed otherwise.
